Buses in Aldershot: Stagecoach Routes, Tickets and Bus Passes

Which Stagecoach buses serve Aldershot, where to catch them, and who gets a free bus pass in Hampshire.

Aldershot.co Editorial5 October 2026

Stagecoach South serves Aldershot with routes to Camberley (1), Yateley (3 and 403), Farnham (4 and 5), Elvetham Heath (7), Rowledge (16), Whitehill (17 and 18) and Guildford (20). The old bus station closed after 7 May 2023, so buses now use stops around the town centre; check the Stagecoach timetable for your stop. Hampshire residents of State Pension age, and eligible disabled residents, can get a pass for free travel from 9:30am on weekdays.

Stagecoach South runs most of Aldershot's local buses. The biggest change for anyone used to the old routine is that the old bus station next to the railway station has closed, so this guide starts there.

Where is the bus station?

Aldershot Bus Station used to sit beside the railway station on Station Road. Stagecoach stopped terminating buses there after 7 May 2023, according to the transport news site Bus & Train User, which reported that buses would be dispersed to stops around the town centre, including Victoria Road, High Street and Court Road. Hampshire County Council has since carried out a scheme to improve the area outside the station, which it describes as including a realigned public transport interchange for buses, taxis and cycling (see its Aldershot station scheme page). South Western Railway says local bus services are about a 10-minute walk from the station in town.

Because stops have moved before, check the exact stop for your route on the Stagecoach timetable page or the live departures on bustimes.org.

Day tickets

Stagecoach sells DayRider tickets, which it describes as unlimited travel in a chosen zone for a day, available on the bus or in the Stagecoach app. We have not quoted a DayRider fare because we could not confirm the Aldershot zone and price from Stagecoach. Check the Stagecoach South ticket pages or ask the driver.

Free and concessionary bus passes

Hampshire County Council issues bus passes to residents of Hampshire (excluding Southampton and Portsmouth, which have their own schemes).

  • The older person's bus pass is for people who have reached State Pension age.
  • The disabled person's bus pass is for people aged 5 or over who meet the council's disability criteria, such as being blind or partially sighted, severely or profoundly deaf, without speech, having a disability or injury with a substantial and long-term effect on the ability to walk, or having a severe learning disability.
  • Both passes give free travel on local bus services in England from 9:30am to 11pm Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and on public holidays.

Apply through the council's bus pass pages and read the general terms and conditions first. Confirm the current rules, how to apply and any cost on the Hampshire pages before relying on this summary.
